3Light, comfortable all-terrain shoes; a bit narrow & don't breathe well
By Botolphus
I'm not much of a runner, but I like New Balance trail runners for hiking, and wear a 9.5 4E in them. Compared to the other NB All Terrain model I wore out (809, discontinued) the MT411 is considerably lighter in weight, yet the insole is still comfortable with good cushion and support, and the outsole is suitably rugged and grippy. So far, after two months of regular walking on road, on trail and off (although no properly long hikes in them yet) they've shown little sign of wear. My only real gripe is that they feel narrower than a 4E ought to be; they're tight around the ball of the foot and more cramped in the toe box than the 809s. It's gotten a little better as they break in, and it's still better than a standard width. I didn't try them on before I bought them since they were a gift from my long-suffering wife who has graciously endured my ceaseless quest to find shoes that properly fit my weird duck flipper feet. So - nice economical trail shoes, but if you have paddles for feet don't assume they run the same width as similar models and be sure to try them on in person.Update: It's now April in Central TX with high temps up to 90 degrees. My initial review was in the winter, so I didn't notice so much then, but in the heat my MT411s don't breathe well. I notice my feet getting hot and sweaty in them much faster than other comparable trail runners/light ventilated hikers. On the other hand they have broken in nicely and the cramped tightness I mentioned earlier is mostly gone. They're quite comfortable now as long as it's not too hot out.

5Great for trail running
By Jared
a little smaller than I thought maybe they run small, but regardless a great shoe with a nice looking style.

5Can't go wrong with New Bees
By M. McNamee
The easy part was knowing I wanted them... The hard part was finding a 4E pair in my size. When they arrived, I almost thought they'd forgotten to include them in the package; it was that light! Get your New Bees on and go! Cheers!
