I bought these because I only want zero heel drop shoes to run in. These things have great traction for any type of surface. I've run on the track, the road, and even on the back country of the Carson/Iceberg wilderness in CA. They do what they are intended to do- provide a lightweight fast ride, with little support. These are not the right shoes for heel strike runners as there is about 1/3 the normal amount of cushioning at the heel. I think it's becoming common knowledge now that we all need to not heel strike anyway.The only drawback is that the shoes are not as durable as a heavier shoe, but that's what has to be sacraficed for the weight reduction. I've had them for about 6 weeks and have worn out some of the rubber lugs(does not affect performance or feel) and there is a tiny tear in the fabric on the side. But, like I said, I took them out for a couple of true cross country(miles of off trail) excursions where even hiking boots would have gotton some wear. I've put about 100 miles total on them so far, and will likely get at least 200 more- pretty good for a sub $40 shoe.

Very light shoe...seems to hold up well. However, they are designed for someone with extremely skinny feet. Ordered a size 12.5 US and would require a size seven foot that has been stretched out long to fit comfortably. After getting past the extremely tight fit and reduced sole width/size on the ground, they perform remarkably well on the smooth ground or treadmill. Would not recommend running on areas with a possibility of small rocks as the sole is very thin.

Shoes arrived nicely package to New Zealand (from USA) in 4 days! Better than I expected. I have suffered achilles injuries for the last 10 years and am just getting back into masters track. I haven't been able to complete a recent track season as any spikes I run in aggravate my injuries. These shoes at first testing seem to be much better. Fingers crossed!
