By Pete Paxton
I can't believe how impressed I am with these Columbia Romero's. I tried on a pair of Merrells, North Face, and even purchased a pair of Patagonia's . The Merrells were heavy, the North Face pinched my toes, and the Patagonia's gave me a blister on the back of my heel. My new Romero's are light, extremely comfortable (most comfy shoe I own), good looking, and very sturdy. The sole is grippy and awesome. The day after I bought them I went on a 10 mile hike through some pretty rough terrain. By the time I was done my feet felt great. The Romero's breathe extremely well and again they are so comfortable. When I got back they were completely filthy caked with mud and dirt. I rinsed them off with a spray hose and let them dry over night. They look totally brand new. By far my new favorite hiker. Goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a quality shoe.

By Eric G
Bought this shoe for a trip to Costa Rica. The first time I went I was in sneakers and was miserable after they got wet. I wasn't going to go through that again. These Columbia's were the best purchase I made in preparation for my trip. They handled everything for 3 days straight and my feet never complained, I was surprised at how comfortable they were. We hiked for miles on uneven trails with pavers, mud, loose rock, stream crossings and the shoe fought each one like a champ. Grip on everything. Quick drying, never getting that "squishy" wet sneaker feeling, and always dry by morning. We even went rappelling down 200+ foot waterfalls and they didn't blink an eye. Would definitely recommend these shoes for those that are going into the unknown outdoors. Maybe not for very cold weather, but great everywhere else.

By Jeff
The shoe is not as durable as I thought. With in two weeks the bottom of the shoe was peeling and tearing. The color is good but the threads on the side of the shoe came lose after going outside. Just do not run in this shoe and maybe it will last you.
