2nd update: Although the shoe is still more comfortable than a traditional shoe, it doesn't quite measure up to Zem's Terra model, which I absolutely love. I like the color of this pair much better than Zem's other offerings with one exception - the shiny teardrop shapes over each toe that look a bit like weird toenails. It's hard to see them in the photo. The arch webbing hasn't loosened a bit. That speaks well for the shoe's construction, but it's also one of the major factors taken into consideration when I say that I find the Terra more comfortable.Update: After trying on the larger size again, I've opted to keep the smaller. It isn't too short, but the shoe fits much more snugly than its predecessors. This newer style's support webbing is less flexible and really hugs your arch. It feels good to have a bit more support (once you get used to it), and there is absolutely no chance of this shoe sliding off. I was worried that my wide feet would make this shoe unwearable, but so far so good.I originally bought these in the same size as my other Zem Ninja shoes (a half size smaller than a regular street shoe), and they were (in my opinion at the time) too large. I returned them and bought the smaller size instead. The smaller size is too small. I'm going to try the larger size again and see if I can bridge the gap with socks - I'll update this review if that doesn't work. If you are typically a half size like me, you might want to take this into consideration.

I bought these for gym shoes because I always loved the tabi style of shoes and I bought what my size would be which would be M9 W10 because that is my shoe size when they came in they looked much larger than the shoes I normally wear. So I compared them to my street shoes and long and behold they were a couple of inches larger than my shoe. I had to return them though the product seemed sturdy I will be placing an order for a smaller pair to see if they fit properly.
