Best "Minimalist- Transitional" Trail Shoe for the Buck- Period.
By Citizencruz
I am 41 years old, run about 35 miles a week,under-pronate and spend about 2 hours, 4 times a week in the gym. I'm 5'10" and weigh about 190 lbs. have a narrow foot and high arches. I have an efficient stride and mainly forefoot to mid-foot strike.I have slowly been transitioning to minimalist shoes and love the fact that most of my persistent injuries have disappeared (no more shin splints, no more calf strain, no more hip pain, a lot less knee clicking and none when I run.I began with Saucony Kinvaras and now use Brooks Pure Connects and New Balance Minimus MR10's for roadwork less than 10 miles. Anything over that is handled by Puma Faas 550's or Brooks' Launch. I have just received a pair of Inov8 255 Roads and a pair of BareX 180's and am slowly learning to love them for Crossfit.I use Brooks Pure Grit and Cascadia 5's for my trail runs.I was looking for a "knockaround", minimal style, trail shoe for under $50.00. I wanted something in the minimal vein that would fall somewhere between my Grit and my Cascadia. I didn't want to spend $100+ on another premium shoe so I began searching for something on closeout or clearance.I came across the MT310 for $39.99 and then searched for it on the Google. There is very little information out there about this shoe other than the fact that there is a definite sizing issue. From what I was able to gather, the MT310 is built on the Minimus last and has a 4mm heel to toe drop. The upper is visually very similar to the M730 and it has (what appears to my eye to be)the outsole of the venerable MT101.The MT310 feels very light- I would venture to say it weighs under 10oz. in a Sz. 10. I put them on and they certainly feel "minimal". I've seen other Amazon reviews for these shoes that call them flimsy. I think the reviewers were expecting a more traditional feeling shoe. The 310 has New Balance's typical quality and doesn't seem poorly made in the least. The mesh upper is cool and light, The sole is stiff but not uncomfortable. The outsole tread pattern is great for hardscrabble or packed dirt. It is self cleaning and the widely spaced lugs don't allow debris to become trapped. There is just a bit more cushion in the heel which is great as your form begins to degrade. Although not a true minimal shoe, it is definitely a great shoe with which to transition into minimal shoes. I do not recommend these to anyone who is expecting a cushioned ride or is a heel-striker.I took these out on my 11 mile off-road loop that winds around a local county park. The fire roads are covered in loose "hardpan caliche" aggregate consisting of rocks crushed to about 1-3" in diameter. This surface is unforgiving and downright unpleasant with the wrong shoe (I tried it with my Minimus MR10's once and the soles of my feet were bruised for days after).I have run this in My Brooks Pure grit and love the weight and minimal feel but really wish there were a rock plate. I have since used my big, honking, super plush, super protective Brooks Cascadia 5's (I have the 6 and prefer the 5). At the end of an 11 mi. run the weight of the big Brooks' is very noticeable in added fatigue. The MT310s felt like a racing flat with serious rock protection. All except the gnarliest of rocks went unnoticed and I took about 9 minutes off of my P.R. around the loop.As far as the sizing goes; I read a ton of reviews about how the 310 felt a 1/2 to a full size too small. None of the reviews were clear about them being too narrow or to short. I took a gamble and ordered my size (10). I found that the toebox although voluminous, was not necessarily short just curved in a way that makes the inside edge of your big toe, barely touch it. The funny thing about this is that there was still approximately 1/2" of room in the toebox in front of my middle toes. If anything, I would say that if you have a wide foot, the shoe may well be at least a 1/2 size too small. As I said earlier, I have narrow (B) feet and the shoe felt spot on (no spare room) before the run and I was pleasantly surprised to find that even with my feet swollen from the run, there were no hot spots nor was there any discomfort. This is without a doubt my go-to trail shoe. At this price, I may have to pick up a couple more before they run out.

New Balance Q3 11 TRAIL MT310GO Grey/Orange 10 D
By Paul
Se ven muy cómodos, súper ligeros. Sin embargo, la orma del zapato es pequeña. Normalmente soy talla 10 US y me quedaron pequeños. En este zapato sería un 10.5 US. tomen en cuenta

Good and fast service
By francis buencamino
Nice and fast service. Altough it would have fit better if the shoe came with a wide size.. There was none available so i had to order the regular size.
